Paul Deeds, Jr.'s career in nondestructive testing (NDT) spans more than 50 years. Beginning with two years of training in metallurgy, he began his career at Magnaflux Testing Laboratories. He has held various management and supervisory positions including quality assurance manager and Corporate Level III positions at major engineering firms and nuclear utilities. Deeds holds a BS in quality engineering, an MS in project management, an American Welding Society Senior CWI certification, an American Society for Quality Auditor certification, and is a Nuclear Lead Auditor.
Deeds is a Fellow and Lifetime member of ASNT and past chair and longtime treasurer of the Metro New York/Northern New Jersey section. He is an ASNT NDT Level III in five methods and a charter member of the ASNT Standards Development Committee and chair of the ILI-PQ and SNT-TC -1A Interpretation Subcommittees.
