IRRSP Renewal Requirements

ASNT members receive discounted prices on their certification application. To receive this discount, you must join/renew prior to beginning the application.

All documentation can be attached and submitted digitally in the online application. It is imperative that you thoroughly review the qualifications for the examination and attach the appropriate verification forms. Scan original documents for upload. Print, manually complete, and scan additional forms for upload.

If any portions are not complete and/or required documentation not submitted, your application will not be considered for examination approval.

ASNT certificates expire on the last day of the month listed on the certificate.

Requirement 1

Current address. This ensures proper certification material delivery. (If you provide a non-US address in the online application, you may have the option for the National Sponsoring Organization in that region to receive your certification materials and then either hold for pick up or forward to your application address.)

Requirement 2

Submission of a color photo. Photo must be a passport or license-style headshot. Photos may be taken on devices such as a personal digital camera, cell phone or webcam. Preferred format is .jpg (.gif or .png also accepted).

This will be needed when you go to the PearsonVue test center to take your examination. Two valid forms of identification. This includes at least one photo identification, and is required for admittance into the exam center. Additionally, complete name and correct spelling of name on identification must match the certification application name. If the name on your identification does not match our ASNT record, log into MyASNT to update your name, or contact ASNT.

Valid photo identification

  • Current passport
  • Current driver’s license
  • Current state or government issue identification card

Other acceptable identification

  • Work identification (photo, name)
  • Utility with address of record
